The stories and experiences around us were growing in numbers and the impacts, wide ranging which drove me to question the reality of our statistics and if our workspaces were as safe and respectful as the international data suggested.
We got tired of relying on Sexual Harassment data from other regions that have different values and belief systems with laws to protect them and companies that actively reinforce respectful cultural behaviours. Our first step was identifying the problem – We knew it was an issue, but didn't know how much of a problem - so we set out to create our own regional data.
Our regional sample included 300 respondents from all variety of genders and from around the region; Bahamas, Barbados, Jamaica and Trinidad & Tobago to name a few. At my core, the realisation too that my daughter was not far off from entering the world of work,
I was inspired and felt called to do whatever little bit I could to change the narrative on sexual harassment in our region.
The 2021 Sexual Harassment survey was designed to gain a better understanding regional perspectives and experiences of people working in the Caribbean in a variety of different industries.
The survey was conducted online using Qualtrics in August 2021.

We need your help.. to identify Sexual Harassment issues and create real, rich, regional data within the context of our Caribbean culture.
We got tired of aggregating foreign data against a backdrop of our differing cultures/behaviours and against laws that most of the time don't even exist here. We need your help to complete the survey so we may identify and share any issues and highlight whether Sexual Harassment is an issue in our region.
Your responses are only identifiable by country and industry so all personal identities are protected. The resulting summary report will be shared for free on our this website to highlight where we can improve and shine a light for our Companies, HR teams, and where we as individuals can make data driven decisions that address any sexual harassment issues in the workplace.

For the first 25 companies to assist us in gathering this data, an industry based detailed report will be provided for FREE within a month of the survey completion. For all other companies, the detailed industry based report will be available upon request.
Excerpts of the findings will be available on the website and full detailed reports will also be available upon request.
This survey will take approximately 15 minutes to complete.
